Take old school death metal, add a healthy dose of groove, a pinch of thrash and lots of melody, and you get the powerful essence of Desdemonia. After years of effort and experience, their fourth album "Anguish" was released in March 2018 via Mighty Music. The band continues to combine catchy riffage and raw aggression with melodic moments, creating an intense atmosphere highlighted by lyrics that explore fears and dark thoughts of the human mind.
The Swedish producer Fredrik Nordström handled the mixing and mastering of the nine new tracks, giving the album an aggressive and clear sound. Influenced by the American and European death metal scene of the 1990s, Desdemonia creates its own musical identity. Bands they've played with include Soilwork, Gorefest, Apocalyptica, Heaven Shall Burn, In Extremo, Hail of Bullets, Dismember, Sinister, Mayhem, and Krisiun.
