by Duncan Macmillan with Jonny Donahoe: a comedic exploration of mental health.
This play currently enjoys great acclaim in London's West End. It tells the story of a protagonist whose life begins in the shadows of their mother's severe depression. Hoping to help her, they decide to make a list of everything that gives meaning to life. Despite the tragic outcome of their mother's suffering, and as they grow up and enter adulthood, the list grows with them, accompanying them through life's ups and downs, the challenges they face, and the new experiences they have. It is a poignant play that explores the sacrifices we are willing to make for those we love and the strength we can draw from them. The writers have created a powerful and endearing blend of sincerity and humor against a backdrop of a difficult taboo subject.
