In September 2024, Marie Capesius, at the suggestion of Clervaux – Cité de l'Image, was invited to undertake a one-month artist residency in the village of Stilfs, in South Tyrol. A year later, in September 2025, she also completed a one-month residency at the Clervaux Hermitage.

The exhibition "TRACE OF PASSAGE" presents works from these two residencies, during which she conducted research in the field of psychogenealogy. The artist draws inspiration from her place of residence, its history, its rituals, its landscapes, and its soundscapes. She translates these inspirations into an immersive installation: an audiovisual projection linking Polaroid images with a sound collage of natural environments. Her work questions what we unconsciously carry from our ancestors and how this information buried in the past can influence the course of our lives.
