Henri Muller (1912-2011) was long dedicated to promoting Greek culture in Luxembourg, either as translator of Greek writer Nikos Kazantzakis (1883-1957) or as co-founder of the association "Les amis de la Grèce au Luxembourg." This evening will focus on his major work: the translation of Homer’s Odyssey into Luxembourgish. During the event, Prof. Dr. Peter Gilles (University of Luxembourg) will analyze the linguistic aspects of the translation, while Henri Muller's son, Dr. André Muller, will present his extraordinary life using private documents.
