Drawing inspiration from the vast landscapes of Colorado and deeply personal reflections, Nic Lussier’s album “Downey Chase” unveils a raw, intimate, and unforgettable folk sound.
Downey Chase is the solo folk project of American songwriter Nic Lussier. Carrying music from the wilderness of Colorado mountains, his music calls to mind the quiet landscapes of Gregory Alan Isakov and the raw intimacy and fingerstyle guitar of Adrianne Lenker. With a voice that leans into vulnerability, Nic writes songs built on nature, reflection, and a sense of searching.
Before beginning Downey Chase, Nic toured widely as a member of the indie-rock band The Brazen Youth, sharing the stage with artists such as flipturn, Richy Mitch & the Coal Miners, and Melt. In 2024 he released his debut album, a collection that captures both the stillness and restlessness at the heart of his songwriting. Now bringing these songs to European stages.
