A creative workshop around sound
The Sound Lab is an immersive workshop inviting children and teenagers to explore the art of creating music from the environment. Guided by musician and professional producer Sacha Hanlet, participants discover how everyday sounds—the opening of a tap, the rhythm of footsteps, the hum of a room—can be the building blocks of musical composition. Using simple tools such as mobile phones for recording, they capture, experiment with, and transform these sounds into original musical creations.
No prior musical experience is needed—only curiosity and attentive listening. The Sound Lab shows that music is not limited to instruments; it exists in every space we inhabit.
About Sacha Hanlet: Sacha Hanlet is a Luxembourg-based musician and producer with twenty years of experience. Drummer of the band Mutiny On The Bounty and singer, songwriter, and producer of the project Them Lights. Sacha is also an experienced educator and workshop facilitator, supporting young people and emerging artists in music creation.
