Dressed in History: Tradition in a Fast-Fashion World
The second episode of this fireside discussion series explores the role of craftsmanship as an art of slowness in a fast-paced world.
Dressed in history: tradition in the world of fast fashion
This is the second event in the new bi-monthly series Bourgmeisterin: Fireside Chats – a cultural storytelling format supported by the Ministry of Family, Solidarity, Living Together and Refugee Reception and co-produced with ARA City Radio, which will run from winter 2026 to summer 2027. This series builds on Bourgmeisterin, a long-running cultural storytelling project that has been exploring the history, traditions and identity of Luxembourg for over 2.5 years.
This conversation explores how traditions not only survive, but actively perpetuate themselves. It questions the meaning of working with heritage today and how craftsmanship becomes a living bridge between past knowledge and present expression.
