Animated film by Signe Baumann. Zelma has believed from a young age that love solves all problems—as long as she fits society’s expectations. But as she grows up, her body resists more and more. This is a striking story about female autonomy, rebellion, and the challenges of adulthood. The film sensitively explores the different stages in women’s lives, their challenges, aspirations, and questions about female identity. A discussion with the director will take place after the screening. Presented at LuxFilmFest 2023, awarded the prize for best creative contribution in animation.
