The feature-length documentary film 2050 (114 minutes) tells the story of climate scientists at the Belgian Princess Elisabeth Antarctica Station and takes us back to 1898, when Belgian explorer Adrien de Gerlache led the first overwintering mission to the South Pole aboard the Belgica. Directed by Eric Goens, known for his Belgian television programs such as Het huis and Het conclaaf, the film presents stunning images of an icy landscape threatened by climate change. After the screening, there will be a Q&A with Alain Hubert, polar explorer, engineer, and President of the International Polar Foundation, and Prof. Eric Rignot, Chair of the Science Advisory Committee of the Andromeda Earth Observatory Project, who will answer your questions in person.
