100 years of Secession in Luxembourg
What does "seceding out" mean in the field of fine arts? In 1926, exactly 100 years ago, tensions arose within the Luxembourg artistic community, prompting young artists, such as Joseph Kutter, Harry Rabinger, Jean Schaack and Nico Klopp, to found their own secession movement, away from the well-established Cercle Artistique (1927–1930).
The aim of this presentation, followed by a guided tour of the exhibition Welcome to the Villa! (3), is to commemorate this captivating moment in the history of Luxembourgish art.
Where does it take place?
Villa Vauban - Musée d'Art de la Ville de Luxembourg
18 Avenue Emile Reuter
2420 Luxembourg
