Regional theatrical creation is reaching a milestone with the play "Amères condoléances", written by Athusian author Éric Hubert. After a tour in Wallonia, the play will head to the Avignon Festival Off 2026, where it will be presented at Maison Racine throughout the festival.
On stage, Céline Robin and Didier Boclinville, two well-known actors from the Liège scene, deliver an energetic and subtle performance in this vibrant dramatic comedy, combining biting humor and intense moments. The story centers on Anne, alone with her recently deceased mother's coffin, whose quiet vigil is upended by the sudden arrival of her ex-husband, leading to an unexpected clash.
"Amères condoléances" is a fast-paced dramatic comedy full of sarcasm and twists.
