Conference - Simon Gronowski
Simon Gronowski holds a doctorate in law, is a lawyer at the Brussels bar, a jazz pianist, president of the Union of Jewish deportees in Belgium, sons and daughters of the deportation, and a witness to the Holocaust.
On March 17, 1943, Simon Gronowski was 11 years old when he was arrested by the Gestapo in Brussels, Belgium, along with his mother, Chana, and his sister, Ita. He would be the only survivor of his family.
Today he bears witness to those years of horror and plays music to break the isolation.
