À bout de souffle (Nouvelle Vague)
As part of "Nouvelle Vague: Operating Instructions", a cine-conference on the origins of the movement, presented by Dick Tomasovic (Professor of Cinema Theory and Practice, University of Liège). Presentation in French, simultaneous translation into English available, with film excerpts and a duration of around 45 minutes. The conference explores the emergence, innovations, and issues of the movement that revolutionized film history. Followed by a screening of the film "À bout de souffle" (France, 1959, Jean-Luc Godard, original version with English subtitles, 90 min, starring Jean-Paul Belmondo, Jean Seberg, Jean-Pierre Melville), winner of Best Director at the 1960 Berlinale.
