Phil Connors, a television journalist and weather presenter, goes to cover his annual report in the small town of Punxsutawney during the "Groundhog Day" celebration. Unable to return home to Pittsburgh due to bad weather, he is forced to spend another night in this lost town. Waking up very early the next morning, he finds that everything happens exactly as it did the day before, and realizes he is condemned to relive the same day, February 2nd, over and over again...
