In 1995, Luxembourg was for the first time European Capital of Culture. This marked an important moment for the country's cultural policy, leading to the creation of new venues and institutions. At the same time, young cultural creators sought opportunities to professionalize their work. The multidisciplinary theatre collective Independent Little Lies (ILL), founded that year, has since become a major pillar of the Luxembourgish theatre scene. Known for its innovative and diverse productions, ILL is now one of the country's most significant collectives. The documentary Theater. Kollektiv. tells the story of this extraordinary group through everyday scenes, archives, and excerpts from performances. The film features both current and former members, as well as experts from Luxembourg’s cultural scene. Organized by Independent Little Lies and FerroForum.
