Climate and Biodiversity
Andrew Ferrone is a trained climatologist and mainly works at the interface between climate science and policy. He is currently Deputy Director of Climate and Sustainable Development at the Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Biodiversity in Luxembourg. He is also head of the Luxembourg delegation to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and coordinates the European Union negotiating team on scientific issues within the framework of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Andrew obtained his doctorate from Université catholique de Louvain, on the topic of aviation and climate change in Europe: from regional climate modelling to policy options.
