The Scapino Ballet Rotterdam, known for pushing the boundaries of dance by merging it with other disciplines, such as science and digital art, comes to the Grand Théâtre with a new double bill from their series Origin – The Future Is Feminine. This project features three choreographers from the new generation: Sarah Baltzinger and Isaiah Wilson's GOATS explores forms of social rejection and self-reclamation, while Marie-Louise Hertog's The Rite of Spring is a feminist reinterpretation of Stravinsky's masterpiece, which overturns traditional expectations, with female roles taken on by male dancers. Two powerful pieces that question societal norms and power structures.
