Veda & The String Machine feat. Naïssam Jalal
Veda & The String Machine brings together a jazz quartet and a classical string ensemble to create a deeply intimate musical dialogue. The compositions move between improvisation and orchestral structure, exploring sonic spaces, colors, and emotions. Each piece unfolds as a conversation between the spontaneity of jazz and the elegance of chamber music, combining complex harmonies with clear, catchy melodies.
The compositions by Luxembourg guitarist Veda Bartringer blend fragility and strength, turning personal experiences into expressive soundscapes. The ensemble’s sound is cinematic, emotional, and finely nuanced, revealing a unique voice in contemporary European jazz.
Naïssam Jalal is a flutist, singer, and composer (winner of the 2019 Victoires du Jazz). She has established herself as one of the leading figures on the contemporary jazz scene. Her playing brings a deeply lyrical dimension to the project, blending jazz and world music traditions. Her collaboration with Veda & The String Machine enriches the harmonic depth and emotional expressiveness of the ensemble.
