ActArt Concert: MelusinArt's Rare Gems
On this occasion, the MelusinArt ensemble invites you to discover three Romantic works for clarinet, horn and piano. The three trios by German composers Franz Lachner, Gustav Jenner, and Maximilian Heidrich have unfortunately been rarely performed. Yet, these undeservedly little-known works contain musical treasures full of original ideas, surprising compositional angles, and highly expressive harmonies. Like their contemporaries Brahms, Wagner, and Schubert, these composers left a major mark on the musical life of their time, particularly in the cities of Hamburg, Munich, and Dresden. This event offers a journey through intense sounds and unique timbres, where poetry, expression, and virtuosity blend together.
Franz Lachner (1803-1890) - Trio in E major (1830)
Gustav Jenner (1865-1920) - Trio in E-flat major (1900)
Maximilian Heidrich (1864-1909) - Trio in C minor Op. 25
