Guided tour: Berthe Brincour (1879-1947)
An extraordinary and timeless artist.
This summer, the Nationalmusée um Fëschmaart is presenting the first major retrospective of the Luxembourgish painter Berthe Brincour (1879-1947), a pioneering figure who is still largely unknown. Nearly 80 years after she bequeathed all her works to the State, much of it remains unexplored and has never been exhibited in its entirety. Thanks to recent research and restoration work, the museum is now highlighting her expressive and modern art.
