Organized by the Luxembourg Streetphoto collective and aimed at all photography enthusiasts, the Light Leaks Festival, an international event focused on street and documentary photography, returns as every year in mid-May to celebrate its tenth anniversary.
From the start, sharing experiences with the public, dialogue, creative exchange, and training have been at the heart of the festival. Visitors can attend conferences, interact with speakers, participate in workshops, have their portfolios reviewed by professionals, and display up to three images on the "Open Wall," linked to a contest.
The festival also features a rich collective exhibition, a selection of photography books in a bookstore area hosted by Ernster, and a "Bazaar" space where local talents present and sell their prints and photo books.
Twenty guest photographers and members of the organizing collective will present their series and projects. Young photographers from Aline Mayrisch and Arts et Métiers high schools will also exhibit their group work alongside accomplished professionals. Additionally, the "Loop & Cube" installation by photographers Samantha Wilvert and Giulia Thinnes will be displayed at the Klub des Rotondes, featuring both a video installation and a physical installation.
Several internationally renowned photographers will host conferences and advise amateur photographers: Myriam Boulos, Gabrielle Duplantier, Brice Gelot, Charalampos Kydonakis (Dirty Harrry), and Nicolas Portnoï.
The festival also offers photo workshops around the Rotondes, combining urban and documentary photography in a spirit of exchange and artistic exploration.
