Based on the best-selling jazz album of all time, the famous The Köln Concert by Keith Jarrett, the virtuoso and world-renowned jazz pianist, Trajal Harrell and his six collaborators perform individual dances at the crossroads of genres, blending voguing movements, Noh theatre, and the paintings of ancient Greek vases... Like scales on a detuned piano writing a score in space, the performers rise and unfold. Sometimes birds of paradise or dark poisonous flowers, incandescent sparks where black becomes color, the dancers magnify the piano notes and embody a form of grace.
