This evening features a round table and poetry readings with participants from literature, cinema, curatorial practice, and cultural production, bringing together voices from Ukraine and across Europe. The conversation centers on the role of art in times of war: how it responds to violence, carries memory, persists under pressure, and its limits—what it can express or make visible when ordinary language falls short. Participants include: Iryna Tsilyk, award-winning filmmaker and writer (Kyiv); Irena Karpa, writer and musician; Marion Guth, Luxembourg-based producer (a_BAHN); Marta Czyż, art historian and curator (Venice Biennale); Radek Lipka, film curator and programmer; Philippe Schockweiler, poet. The talks and readings situate art in the context of war, reflecting the festival’s central idea: culture continues under pressure and remains part of what is being defended today.
