Patrick Kuhn seeks, through his photographic work, an unseen reality, a reflection or clue of something deep within himself. Melancholic or imbued with explosive joy, his works—outdoor photographs—reflect an inner world that is expressed in unique images of nature, perceived through a filter and shifted perceptions of reality.
His many visions of the botanical garden in Metz and elsewhere, collected over more than twenty years, as well as his later works capturing paths or plunging views over local rivers, are all witnesses to a desire to leave reality, to be drawn by a sublimated vision of the world.
