Mohamed El Khatib wanted to write a text based on interviews with his mother. On February 20, 2012, her death interrupted everything. On her hospital bed, she asked: "No operation? - No. They cannot do anything more."
The orphaned son delivers a fragmented story: excerpts from journals, emails, messages, texts, exchanges with his father, transcripts, videos... This intimate material mixes fiction and documentary. These snapshots evoke family, country, mother tongue, memory, and mourning. Through this moving, caustic, and often funny mapping, El Khatib, alone on stage, presents this autobiographical account.
