Choreographers' Jam
- show
- dance
The concept of the jam session, well known in the world of music, enters the field of dance. Imagine a group of choreographers gathering for a unique moment, with no rehearsed show or predefined score: simply the raw pleasure of creating together, listening, exchanging ideas, and sharing kindness. For the Samedi aux Théâtres in November 2025, four choreographers based in Luxembourg will take up a challenge: to create, in less than 24 hours, a solo piece lasting around 10 to 15 minutes, based on the same text specially written for the occasion by author Gintare Parulyte. This text, revealed to the choreographers the day before the presentation, will serve as a common starting point for their creations. They will explore their own body languages, nourished by Gintare's words, and share their processes, visions, and intuitions. The outcome of this experience will then be presented to the public in a free and exploratory atmosphere, with the choreographers’ movements accompanied by live improvised music, extending this spontaneous encounter between bodies, sounds, and words. An evening where dance is experienced as an immediate, living and shared language.
