The Children's Festival 2026: more than 60 workshops inspired by the daily life of educational and childcare facilities in Luxembourg!

Organised for the fifth consecutive year as part of Children's Week (May 30 to June 5, 2026) by the Ministry of National Education, Children and Youth, in collaboration with non-formal education stakeholders, the Children's Festival invites you to experience unique and enriching moments with your family.

At the Children's Festival, children aged 0 to 12 explore their talents and interests through some sixty fun workshops. These activities promote learning in various areas such as creativity, art, movement, emotions, social relationships, language, and science.

These workshops also highlight the role of non-formal education in developing essential skills, whether cognitive, social, motor or emotional.

This year, a teepee will host mini-conferences for parents, with activities for children.

The Festival will also introduce you to pilot projects such as Ludothèques, Zesummen Aktiv, Loscht op Handwierk, Wees de Schonn, 10 doigts-10 droits and Kulturama, developed by the Agency for the Development of Quality in the Childhood and Youth Sectors (AQUEN) of the MENJE with educational and care structures in Luxembourg.
Experiencing non-formal education: learning is child's play!

A true driving force in non-formal education, play supports children in their learning. It stimulates their creativity and curiosity, while strengthening their confidence, autonomy and sense of well-being.
