Live Dream is an installation performance presented as part of the Screentime/s Live Dream exhibition. The piece explores the mysteries of the brain and altered states of consciousness. In this collective experience, participants’ neural activity is captured in real time using electrodes. Justine Emard and Jean-Emmanuel Rosnet use these electrical signals to create a visual and sound work, inspired by dream narratives. Sometimes tangible, sometimes imperceptible, the interpreted data gives rise to atmospheres generated by the two artists. This brain-machine interface aims to resonate with the participants’ physicality, inviting them to experience the intensity and contemplative dimension of this hypnotic, dreamlike event.
