Billie, 23 years old, blends English heritage with French sensitivity: from edgy rock to tender words, from momentum to fragility. She has been singing and playing piano since age 6, growing up surrounded by Cocteau Twins' dream pop, Joy Division's post-punk, the daring of The Velvet Underground, and the voices of France Gall or Françoise Hardy. The film Stop Making Sense by Talking Heads acted as a trigger. Trained at the American School of Modern Music and then moving to England, she honed her skills, writes in French, and creates a female-forward rock sound, combining clear vocals and saturated guitars. Her first EP, J’avance, explores desire, melancholy, and urgency. Produced between London and France with Zacharie Berdugo (Ayrakaz) and Clément and Adrien from Kids Return, it presents an organic, melodic, and electric pop-rock. With her new EP À ce que les autres pensent de moi, Billie delivers an intimate and generational project about identity, how others' opinions affect us, and the marks of the past – how we build ourselves between discreet wounds and persistent memories.
