Elysian Fields, founded in 1995 by Jennifer Charles and Oren Bloedow, has established itself as one of the most singular acts on the New York underground scene. Their music—at once sensual, dark, and spellbinding—blends Eastern and Western influences to create a deeply original sonic universe.

Jennifer Charles’s hypnotic voice, combined with Oren Bloedow’s intricate harmonies and refined guitar work, forms an immediately recognizable signature, exploring themes of love, desire, mortality, and mysticism.

Rejecting commercial compromise, the duo chose independence from the outset, developing across their 13 albums a constantly evolving musical language: ethereal ballads, cinematic explorations, spiritual romanticism, dystopian energy, and spectral meditations. Their creativity is supported by an extended circle of esteemed New York musicians, making Elysian Fields a true artistic laboratory.

Still active today, and admired for their integrity and sonic inventiveness, they will celebrate their 30th anniversary in 2025, marked by vinyl reissues and a documentary highlighting the richness of their musical work.
