Repair Cafés are volunteer gatherings where participants repair their broken items together: IT (hardware & software), furniture, electrical appliances, toys, textiles/clothes, bicycles, mechanical devices. Two textile repairers will be present: bring your shirts, trousers, and other clothing. For touchscreen devices/smartphones, repairs are usually limited to diagnostics and advice. It is recommended to contact specialized shops for complete repairs. Before coming, check that your device is powered/charged, clean, and ready for testing. Bring everything necessary to test your item (for example, coffee or capsules for a coffee machine, DVD for a DVD player, cable, manual, remote control, etc.). Bring any identified spare part. There may be no competent repairers for some items on the day of the event.
Good to know
Two textile repair technicians are available. Smartphone repairs are often limited to diagnostics. It is recommended to contact specialists for such repairs. Check the condition and maintenance of your device before coming. Bring your charger, cables, test equipment, and any identified replacement parts.
It is possible that some items may not be able to be repaired on the same day depending on the volunteer skills available.
