Ten outstanding musicians, gathered around Fred Pouget as the Maxiphone ensemble, revisit the music of Jean-Philippe Rameau, the great French composer from the end of the Baroque and the start of the Classical period. The hybrid instrumentation (hurdy-gurdy, electronic effects, diatonic accordion, mandolin, a light woodwind section...) enthusiastically explores the heart of Rameau’s works. The composer's figure appears in glimpses, while jazz motifs emerge between melodies, accompanied by birdsong. A reinterpretation as a musical stroll, full of surprises and detours, following in the footsteps of the Maxiphone’s tightrope walkers.
