The cine-concert is one of the specialties of the ARFI collective (Association à la Recherche d’un Folklore Imaginaire). For The Iron Mask, fourteen musicians join forces to enhance the film by Allan Dwan, made in 1929 and based on the works of Alexandre Dumas. Douglas Fairbanks plays D’Artagnan caught in an intrigue around the twin brother of Louis XIV. The original music created by ARFI, open to many contemporary influences, accompanies this epic and lyrical film.
