There are five on stage: authors, actresses, directors, activists. They form a contemporary, bold, humorous and fierce chorus: the #MeTooThéâtre collective. With Les Histrioniques, they create a free and festive theatre space. Everything is play, rhythm, struggle, and furious joy. The grotesque becomes a weapon, the costume a manifesto. There is laughter, shouting, and thought. On stage, they reenact an investigation, between fiction and reality, conducted via their Messenger group, to support an actress who is a victim of rape. From this digital thread emerge voices, scenes, and reconstructions—many moments of tension where words search, free themselves, and waver. Founded in 2021 in the wake of the #MeToo movement, the #MeTooThéâtre collective brings together artists mobilized against sexist and sexual violence in the performing arts. A theatre of struggle, sisterhood, and explosion. An irreverent celebration that breaks down systems and unmasks both façades and monsters.
