The SPACEWALKS retrospective presents a selection of essential short films from cinema history, ranging from early wonders to animation and burlesque masterpieces, all capturing the imagination, invention, and wonder at the heart of cinema. Open to all audiences, this program takes viewers on a creative and playful cosmic journey. Program: - "Trip to the Moon" (France, 1902, Georges Méliès): The iconic silent film where astronomers travel to the Moon and meet lunar creatures. - "Dancing on the Moon" (USA, 1935, Dave Fleischer): An animated fantasy turning the Moon into a surreal playground. - "A Grand Day Out" (UK, 1989, Nick Park): Wallace and Gromit build a rocket to the Moon in a whimsical adventure.
