To welcome the winter season, the Music Society and its youth ensemble offer an atmospheric program: from classical marching music to solo pieces by bassoonist Fränz Schroeder, as well as a musical narration of The Night Before Christmas performed by Claude Haubrich. Original compositions such as The Cry of the Last Unicorn and excellent transcriptions such as Edvard Grieg's March of the Trolls are also featured. The second part of the evening will be presented this year by our guest of honor, Harmonie Gemeng Mamer, with an exciting program from the symphonic band repertoire to start the Christmas festivities in good spirits.
