Show & CultureShow & Culture"Monsieur Choufleuri restera chez lui le…", composed by Jacques Offenbach in 1861, is a delightful satire of bourgeois taste for appearances. Monsieur Choufleuri dreams of shining by hosting the Parisian elite at a musical evening. But when the invited artists are unable to attend, the household members must step in at the last moment. Full of misunderstandings, virtuosic arias and irresistible humor, this short work offers a concentrated dose of Offenbach's typical fantasy and elegance. This production features young singers from the Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg’s Lyric Art Class, who bring energy, freshness and joy to the stage. Singing and acting blend naturally to bring colorful characters to life, accompanied by the Orchestre des Enseignants, whose musical finesse and experience support the whole ensemble with elegance and vivacity. Together, they promise a sparkling theatrical experience highlighted by the spirit, humor, and lightness unique to this work.
