Dazzling virtuosity and broad symphonic lines: the concert opens with Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 3, a work full of energy and contrasts, mixing incisive rhythms, refined lyricism and passages of formidable virtuosity. At the piano: internationally renowned soloist Alexander Gavrylyuk. After the intermission, the Luxembourg National Youth Orchestra, led by its artistic and musical director Pit Brosius, performs Brahms' Symphony No. 2, considered the brightest and most serene of the composer's works.
