Bachata is a dance from the Dominican Republic, easy to learn, fun, and romantic. Traditional bachata is popular, cheerful, and practiced among friends, family, or couples. Modern bachata is more sophisticated, with a romantic and sensual aspect. The chosen style can express passion or enjoyment, depending on your interpretation and musical sensitivity. The dance is characterized by body and hip movements similar to some African and Caribbean dances. Bachata has gained international popularity, especially at Latin dance parties. During the classes, we will cover three styles: Dominican bachata, modern bachata, and pasitos.
