Echoing "Tout se pète la gueule, chérie" by Frédérick Gravel. In Kansas City, a group of mothers who call themselves the Shuffle Mamas gather in garages and parking lots to dance the shuffle. No one gave them permission. They didn't ask for it. Their feet slide, stomp, and race as if freed from the rest of the body. Florence Minder uses their gestures as the starting point for a correspondence with Frédérick Gravel's universe: twenty minutes to remind everyone that movement and public space belong to all who are determined to claim it. A warm-up before the show, to enter with the right energy.
