Discover Japan through the Art of Japanese Calligraphy. Calligraphy will also allow you to relax through concentration, mastering your breathing, and your posture. The course will also allow you to discover the Japanese language and its culture. You will learn the history of calligraphy, the use of calligraphy materials, the technique of writing with a brush and Indian ink. You will practice writing Kanji, Hiragana, and Katakana. Calligraphy materials: brushes, Japanese papers, ink, ink stone, paperweight, felt, draft paper. The instructor will explain the materials in the first class; no purchase is necessary before this initial session.
