Based on selected chapters from 33 Moments of Practical Philosophy and Applied Psychology. An Anthology of Thought on Human Existence, this seminar explores human self-understanding through the complementary perspectives of philosophy and psychology. It provides participants with a practical and reflective framework for understanding key aspects of human life and behaviour. The seminar consists of 17 weekly sessions. Each session includes the presentation of two themes followed by a guided discussion, with a final session dedicated to an integrative synthesis. Topics include Arrogance, Choice, Communication, Competence, Error, Freedom, Happiness, the Human Condition, Humility, Humour, Love, Meaning of Life, Perception, Reflection, Responsibility, Time, Truth, Well-Being, and other central concepts of practical philosophy and applied psychology. Participants will connect philosophical reflection with everyday experience, analyse personal and social behaviour, and apply key insights to communication, decision-making, responsibility, well-being, and personal development. The seminar is taught by Prof. Dr. Marc Ant, psychologist, doctor in philosophy, and professor of organisational behaviour. He has taught at universities in Luxembourg, Germany, and South Korea, directed the Competence Centres of the Luxembourg crafts sector, and published 23 books and more than 120 scientific articles. Please note that there are no classes during Luxembourg school holidays or public holidays. For the weeks 20-10-2026, 09-11-2026 and 16-11-2026, classes will be held on Mondays instead of Tuesdays. No class on 05-01-2027.
