At a very young age, he developed a passion for the guitar and built a solid experience by playing in clubs and bars across the United States. Over the years, those long nights spent on stage shaped his musical identity and naturally led him to Los Angeles, where his talent was quickly noticed by Lyor Cohen, then co-president of Def Jam Records. His debut single, Don’t You Cry For Me, achieved immediate success by topping Spotify charts worldwide and the American radio station SiriusXM Spectrum. Subsequently, Cobi confirmed his full potential with the EP Songs From The Ashes Pt.1 before releasing the albums Songs From The Ashes and Love In The Wildwood. Through these projects, he asserts a rich musical universe, elegantly blending rock, soul, and more contemporary influences. In 2023, during a stay in Paris, Cobi recorded the first tracks of his new EP Sugar Man at the prestigious Studio Ferber. Produced between Los Angeles and Paris, this indie rock and melancholic pop-tinged opus received an enthusiastic reception from the specialist press, especially Rolling Stone, FIP, and OUI FM.
