of all typesof all typesRepair Cafés are volunteer meet-ups where participants repair their broken items together: computer hardware and software, furniture, electrical appliances, toys, textiles and clothing, bicycles, and mechanical devices.
Good to know
Touchscreen devices and smartphones will generally only receive diagnostics and advice; specialised shops are recommended for repairs. Before attending, check the power supply and condition of the item, and carry out basic maintenance where necessary. Bring everything needed to test the item: charger, cables, manual, consumables, accessories and, where possible, a replacement part. A suitable repairer may not be available for every specific issue. Volunteers with skills in electronics, woodworking, mechanics, sewing, reception or organisation are welcome.
