Cercle Cité presents a new series of short-film screenings exploring a range of social issues through young people’s perspectives. Featuring three short films made by and with young people in Luxembourg, this first session offers a sensitive look at teenage well-being. From finding one’s place within a group and facing others’ judgement to overcoming social pressures and protecting one’s mental health, these films give a voice to those who experience these realities every day. Created through participatory approaches, the short films Op Fugue, De nos jours and Nos problèmes demonstrate cinema’s power as a space for expression, listening and dialogue. The screening will be followed by a discussion with the audience led by the association Cultur’Up, focusing on inclusion, young people’s well-being and the power of shared storytelling. The programme includes Op Fugue, following Anaïs after a robbery gone wrong; De nos jours, about Nesrine, a young kickboxer whose dream is disrupted when a compromising video is shared online; and Nos problèmes, addressing school and family pressure, the need for acceptance and teenage distress.
