Since 2017, GloBalKan has brought together some of the leading musicians from the Bulgarian scene. Founded by kaval master Nedyalko Nedyalkov, the ensemble features Petar Milanov on guitar, Stoyan Yankoulov on drums and Vladimir Karparov on saxophone. At the crossroads of tradition and contemporary creation, GloBalKan blends Bulgarian folklore with jazz, pop, Latin music and classical music. Asymmetrical Balkan rhythms become a playground for improvisation, where the kaval meets jazz harmonies. Released in 2019, their album Wonder Wheel illustrates this musical journey through the Balkans, between heritage and openness to the world.
