Newly restored 4K version. Young Gérard enjoys spending time with his uncle, Mr Hulot, a dreamy, bohemian character living in a lively working-class district of suburban Paris. His parents, Mr and Mrs Arpel, live a monotonous, sterile life in a modern villa. Mr Arpel decides to keep Gérard away from his uncle by trying to find him a job at his factory, while Mrs Arpel arranges a date with one of their neighbours.
