Spooky Science Halloween Camp, full week

Junior Einsteins Science Club runs a Halloween science camp for children aged 5 to 11 at Laborartorium in Livange, during the Toussaint holidays. The camp runs from Monday 2 to Friday 6 November, from 9am to 1pm each morning, and every morning has its own theme. Children make pet slime monsters on Monday and find out how polymers work. On Tuesday they bubble up vampire blood and listen to their own heart with a real stethoscope. Wednesday brings glowing eyeballs and luminescent lava lamps. On Thursday they build alien flying saucers and bring a Frankenstein doll to life with a simple circuit. Friday is forensics, so they lift fingerprints and solve a crime scene, and the week ends with graduation certificates. Every experiment is explained in English and in French. The instructor works in French with the French speaking children in the same group, so a child does science in whichever language is easier for them. Children are grouped by age, with Atoms for ages 5 to 8 and Molecules for ages 9 to 11. Siblings and friends are kept together. Lab coats, goggles, snacks and all materials are provided. Parents pack a lunch and do not need to stay. Each child takes home something they made that morning. Places are limited. Single mornings can also be booked on their own pages at 80 euros a morning.
