A discussion of Mother Mary Comes to Me, Arundhati Roy’s 2025 autobiography-cum-biography, nominated following the group’s June discussion of The God of Small Things. The book explores Roy’s life, her mother Mary Roy’s life, and their complex relationship. Arundhati Roy’s first memoir traces her journey from childhood in Kerala, India, to her work as a novelist and essayist. It explores her relationship with her mother, who founded a school and was a defining force in both Roy’s life and writing.
