Cinema screening of Puccini’s opera Tosca. Floria Tosca and Mario Cavaradossi have devoted their lives to art and to each other. When Cavaradossi helps an escaped prisoner, they become enemies of police chief Baron Scarpia. Tosca must then accept a terrible bargain to save the man she loves. Oliver Mears’ acclaimed production brings this operatic thriller into a war-scarred contemporary Rome. Daniel Oren conducts Aleksandra Kurzak in the title role, alongside Saimir Pirgu as Cavaradossi and Christopher Maltman as Baron Scarpia.
